Welcome to the ACCTA Clearinghouse. The ACCTA Clearinghouse is not intended to compete with the APPIC Clearinghouse. Its goals are more circumscribed and it works somewhat differently. It is designed by ACCTA to help place candidates who are interested in completing their internships at university counseling centers, and to help counseling center internship sites with open positions after Match Day locate available applicants.

The ACCTA Clearinghouse (CH) is available to all intern candidates who are not placed through the APPIC Match and want to do their internship in a counseling center. The ACCTA Clearinghouse is open to all ACCTA member counseling center internship sites.  The ACCTA Clearinghouse begins operation immediately after results of Computer Matching are posted (Candidates have access beginning on the Friday when they know whether or not they have been matched. Sites have access beginning on Match Day Monday at 11am EST). The CH remains active until August 1. It serves as a relay station, receiving names of and information about candidates and making these names and information available to counseling centers with unfilled positions. It is the counseling centers' responsibility to decide which candidates they will directly contact for selection consideration. Candidates do not get a list of available sites. Sites contact candidates.

Candidates are given the Web site on which they can post information about themselves and upload their applications and other materials like letters of recommendation. ACCTA Members can view as much of this information as they choose.

THE ACCTA CLEARINGHOUSE OPERATES ENTIRELY OVER THE WEB.

ACCTA training directors simply sign into the website with their email address and the last 4 numbers of the SSN or in Canada SIN and in Member Resources on the left side of the page click on ACCTA Clearinghouse. You will fill out a form and when you submit the form you will be taken to the CH.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY FOR ACCTA TRAINING DIRECTORS TO CONTACT THE COORDINATOR OF THE ACCTA CLEARINGHOUSE BY PHONE UNLESS THEY ARE ENCOUNTERING PROBLEMS WITH THE CLEARINGHOUSE.

We have tried to make the Clearinghouse fully automated and easy to access and use. If any problems arise please contact the Coordinator using the information below.
